Coverage and exclusions
Our promises
Our promises apply to qualifying work performed by Everest Air Group and are subject to applicable terms and exclusions. Manufacturer equipment and parts warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer and are subject to their separate terms.
Day & Night Manufacturer Warranty
We install Day & Night heating and cooling equipment. Day & Night, a Carrier company, covers the parts on your new system with a 10-year limited warranty when the equipment is registered within 90 days of installation. If it is not registered in that time, the parts warranty is 5 years. Jurisdictions wherein warranty benefits cannot be conditioned on registration will automatically receive a 10-year parts limited warranty. The warranty belongs to the original owner. Labor is not included and is billed separately. Full terms are on Day & Night’s warranty and registration page. Some Day & Night models also carry a No Hassle Replacement limited warranty. Ask us which applies to your system. Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s own terms, registration requirements, limitations, and exclusions.
Labor
Manufacturer parts warranties do not automatically mean labor is covered.
Workmanship
The Everest Promise applies only to work performed by Everest.
Pre-existing conditions
Pre-existing conditions are excluded.
Work by others
Equipment, components, or workmanship supplied or performed by others are excluded.
Unauthorized changes
Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs by others is excluded.
Wear and tear
Normal wear and tear is excluded.
Maintenance items
Routine maintenance and consumables such as filters are excluded.
Lack of maintenance
Damage resulting from failure to perform reasonable maintenance can be excluded to the extent legally permitted.
Electrical supply
Utility interruptions, improper voltage, power surges, and electrical supply problems are excluded unless caused by Everest’s work.
External causes
Flooding, lightning, storms, fire, freezing, pests, corrosive environments, and other external causes are excluded.
Refrigerant loss
Refrigerant loss caused by an equipment or component failure or leak unrelated to Everest workmanship is not automatically covered by the Everest Promise.
Outside our scope
Ductwork, electrical, plumbing, structural, or building envelope conditions outside Everest’s contracted scope are excluded.
Access
The customer must provide reasonable access to the equipment.
Applicable law
Our promises and the manufacturer warranty are subject to applicable law.
